Open call: Ghent University is looking for corporate and social challenges

You are confronted with certain challenges in your organisation but there is no time or expertise to solve them?
Then submit these topics online before 19 August.

Each academic year students work on several projects during their study at Ghent University. To avoid the results from ending up on a dusty shelf, DO! aims to make the connection with society and the corporate world. That is why we call out to companies, organisations and the public sector to submit their current challenges.

We believe in creating a win-win situation for both parties. Companies and organisations gather useful input and students get the chance to broaden their horizon and their level of experience. Dare to Think, but especially Dare to Do.

How does this process work?

DO! collects the challenges and distributes them amongst the Ghent University lecturers and initiatives involved. Through one single submission, you are able to reach a very diverse group of students with different educational backgrounds (going from engineers, economists, scientists to product developers ...). The challenge can result in a report, a prototype, a plan, recommendations ... just to give a few examples.

What kind of challenges?

We are looking for open challenges rather than clearly defined assignments. We make this choice to give the students more freedom in their creative process. We aim for social challenges that offer students the chance to persue their idea and start their own company.

The project of Fietsheld is a succes story from last year.
