Innovation Station

UGent Sterre S5

For the second year in a row we want to promote entrepreneurship in the health sector among the students of Ghent University. Therefore, in collaboration with BeMSA Gent and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, we organise ‘Innovation Station’ on 16th of November.

This is an innovation camp where we allow students and researchers from different faculties to brainstorm together about the challenges health workers face today. We invite students and researchers from economic, scientific, medical and policy fields to come up with innovative and creative solutions to today’s problems.

During the day (09:00 - 19:00), the participants will be coached in group by professionals in the field (BlueHealth Innovation Center, DO! and several student-entrepreneurs who have started). In the evening they present their (theoretically) elaborated challenge to a jury of experts (professors, funds, coaches of DO!) and a winner is announced.

The team with the best project will be given the opportunity to develop this through a coaching trajectory of BlueHealth Innovation Center. They also receive a direct ticket for the pitch round of Expedition DO!.

The event takes place in Dutch.
